So far in 2021, we’ve seen an almost 100% increase in reservations [versus] the same time last year! Ontario Parks

That's nearly a 100% increase of the 29,504 reservations that were booked around the same time last year.

The website noted that because of this, campers are going to have to get competitive to grab a good spot this season.

"In many instances, there can be hundreds of customers vying for the same site for the same arrival date," an excerpt reads.

Ontarians are being advised to book early, try new parks, and travel further north in order to accommodate the spike.

Anyone looking to book a reservation can do so on their website.

It is worth noting that overnight camping won't resume in Ontario Parks until March 8.
