Contributor

Bust out the binoculars! You can admire the autumn leaves while standing suspended in mid-air above an old-growth forest this fall. Scenic Caves Suspension Bridge in Ontario is an immersive way to enjoy the vibrant colours this season.

Located at Blue Mountain in Collingwood, this spot is only a two-hour drive away from Toronto.

The landscape will not disappoint. While you're there, you can go hiking among the magnificent rock formations in the park, after soaking in the view of changing leaves.

The bridge itself is the longest in southern Ontario, spanning 420 feet.

While you're standing on the fenced suspension bridge, you'll be draped above an old-growth forest, which is one that's reached a significant age without being disturbed much by industry.

You can enjoy the sight of it while standing 82 feet above the ground and taking in the 360-degree view.

The way that the structure is built will make you feel like you are floating above the treetops at this scenic getaway in Blue Mountain.

The bridge is flexible and does flow with the wind, so get ready to be rocked on gusty days.

To access it, you can follow a walking trail, which will take you around 45 minutes there and back on foot. During peak hours, they have wagon and tractor rides that can bring you to the site.

You'll be able to admire Georgian Bay and beyond at this spectacular lookout spot.

Make sure to bring your hiking or running shoes, because they're required for entry, and it's quite a walk.

This gem provides a vivid way to appreciate the fall colours like you may not have tried before.

Try to get there early for ticket admissions, as they operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, and are open at 9 a.m.

Tickets can only be purchased on-site,  and the last admission is allowed two hours before entry, so plan accordingly.
