York Regional Police are now investigating after a shooting in Markham has left a 32-year-old man dead. 

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Wei You from Markham. 

EARLIER: According to the police, the man was shot while inside his jeep. The vehicle then crashed into a pole in the Denison and Brimley Road area.

York Regional Police 

CBC reports that police responded to the call at around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning. 

The victim was still inside of his jeep, yet he had already succumbed to his injuries when help arrived. 

Homicide investigators are now looking into the case. 

Anyone with additional information is asked to come forward.
