Toronto is a hub for big-name celebrities and it looks like many locals have had their fair share of run-ins with numerous stars.

A Torontonian posed a question online for others to share which celebs they've spotted around the city and the Reddit thread has been flooded with stories.

The question was asked in the subreddit r/askTO.

"What celebrities have you spotted in Toronto," the person asked in their post, "bonus points for out in the wild."

They included that their most recent celeb sighting was of Kiefer Sutherland at a grocery store.

"I could tell several people recognized him but everyone let him be," they wrote.

From Jacob Elordi to Alexander Skarsgard, both of whom are currently filming in Toronto, to encounters with other Canadian icons like Rachel McAdams, here are some of the best celebrity run-ins Torontonians have had over the years.

Jacob Elordi

unwell!! the little wave 💋

Euphoria actor Jacob Elordi is currently in Toronto filming Frankenstein and he's had several sightings already.

"Jacob Elordi shopped in my store, he’s here filming Frankenstein," one person shared on Reddit to which people asked if he was "as beautiful in person as I'd imagine?"

"He sure is! My boss nearly fainted LOL," the poster responded.

Unfortunately, they didn't share which store Elordi was spotted at. However, he was also recently seen driving along Queen West, just outside Hot Black Coffee.

Guillermo del Toro

Frankenstein director Guillermo del Toro has also been seen out and about in Toronto. On March 17, del Toro shared he paid a visit to Vinegar Syndrome in Roncesvalles.

One person on Reddit shared they saw him at the Scotiabank Theatre.

"I was leaving going down the escalator and saw him with his family heading up. Waved and smiled at him and he responded in kind," they wrote.

Del Toro was also spotted with several cast members of Frankenstein at Pai in January.

Mitch Marner

Toronto Maple Leafs player Mitch Marner has also been spotted in the city, where he lives.

One person shared they've seen Marner on numerous occasions and it sounds like it was a positive experience.

"Mitch is a gem. I’ve seen him more times than I can count, including when him and Steph were sitting in front of me on the floor at an Ed Sheeran show. He actually ended up coming up to me once," they wrote.

Eugene Levy

Eugene Levy was also brought up on Reddit and at least a couple of Torontonians raved about their encounters with the Canadian actor, calling him their "favourite celebrity encounter ever."

One person shared they helped him at a Staples location in Toronto before it closed.

"I was interacting with him as a customer and not trying to freak out inside that I was helping Eugene Levy, and he was a complete gem of a human, super funny and kind," one person shared.

"I'd normally leave people be, but I was helping him pick out a new paper shredder and carried it to his car for him."

Alexander Skarsgard

Succession actor Alexander Skarsgard has been spotted on more than one occasion in the past few months in Toronto.

In February, the Swedish actor was spotted dining at Pai.

According to a comment on Reddit, his most recent sighting was on March 16 at Season Six restaurant on Ossington.

"The whole resto was empty besides his table. I had to do a triple take to make sure it was him," the person wrote.

Skarsgard is currently filming a new Apple sci-fi series called Murderbot in Toronto, according to Hollywood North Buzz.

Rachel McAdams

According to the Reddit thread, Rachel McAdams has been seen in Toronto many times over the years and people love seeing her.

"Rachel McAdams rides her bike everywhere. I think she lives in or around the Annex because I'd always see her in that area. Never spoke to her but we nodded to each other at a crosswalk. I have no doubt that she is friendly," one person wrote.

Another person shared that the Canadian actress "randomly" bought them a bagel at the Annex once.

"I couldn’t make my mind up on which to get and she mentioned her favourite one and said it was a treat from her to me and to have a good day," they explained. "I tried to keep my composure but internally was freaking out."

Others who said they've had their run-ins with McAdams called her a "total sweetie" and the "nicest most down-to-earth celebrity."

Adam Sandler

Actor and comedian Adam Sandler has spent a lot of time in Toronto and it seems like he's a regular in Yorkville.

"I’ve run into Adam Sandler twice, both times just walking around in Yorkville. The second time I told him I loved his work and he was very kind," one person shared.

Shawn Mendes

Singer Shawn Mendes lives in Toronto so it's no surprise many locals have seen him around.

"I see Shawn Mendes pretty regularly when he's in town. He’s hot af [in real life]," one person wrote.

"I see Shawn Mendes around King West all the time," another person expressed.

Elliot Page

Canadian actor Elliot Page has also been seen in Toronto several times, and he's often spotted with his dog.

"One morning I took my dog to our closest dog park and ran into Elliot Page with his little dog. It was early, not a lot of people around. We played fetch with the dogs for a bit. He was super nice and chill," one Redditor shared.

Drake

Drake lives in Toronto and by the sounds of it, the rapper loves going out when he's back in his home city.

Several people shared they've seen Drake "literally everywhere" in Toronto.

One person said they first bumped into Drake in 2011 and then again years later and said the rapper even remembered them.

"He was genuinely nice, and I was really surprised that he remembered some (to him) random NPC after all those years," they wrote.

"Saw Drake get out of his car and walk into King Taps one night. I called out to him to see if we could get a picture but he shook his head and kept walking lol," another person wrote in the ask/TO thread.

Andrew Phung

Kim's Convenience actor Andrew Phung lives in Toronto and a few people who have run into him had nothing but nice things to say about Phung.

"So many of my friends have run into Andrew Phung. Heard he's super cool," one person wrote.

"My friend lives close to the barber shop where he gets his hair cut. The barber loves him so much and says he's the nicest guy," another Reddit comment reads.

Another person shared they saw him at the Toronto Pride event last year and took a picture with Phung.

"He was very friendly," they added.
