Toronto Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect after a TTC streetcar operator was allegedly assaulted last month.

Police just released images of the suspect in a media release, and they are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The alleged incident took place on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at around 10:30 a.m. According to police, a man got on a TTC streetcar at the Bingham Loop in the Victoria Park Avenue and Kingston Road area.

What you need to know: Police say an altercation then took place between the man and the TTC operator, during which the man assaulted the operator. The suspect fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described at 6-foot tall with a heavy build and white beard. At the time of the alleged assault, he was wearing a grey winter jacket and carrying two large suitcases as well as a black 7-Eleven reusable bag, and a backpack.
