Vancouver Just Reopened Its Hidden Patio That'll Transport You Right To Italy

That view though!
Staff Writer

Calling all patio lovers. The patio at 1931 Gallery Bistro at the Vancouver Art Gallery has officially opened which means you can take in all the sun you could ever want in style. This patio is adorable and it'll make you feel like you're right in Italy with no travel required.

One of the best hidden spots around Vancouver is the patio at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

1931 Gallery Bistro is seriously glamorous and it feels like a quaint European cafe.

Thanks to the elevated patio, you will get 360-degree views of downtown Vancouver, making it super ideal for people-watching. What more could you possibly want?

The patio itself is filled with adorable decor including dozens of lush plants and comfy couches to lounge on.

You’ll definitely want to head to the cafe on an empty stomach because their menu is drool-inducing.

Their modern dishes range from brunch and lunch options to fancy dinner plates.

Prepare yourself to indulge in things like beef tartare, duck, and avocado toast. It literally wouldn’t be a Vancouver restaurant if avocado wasn’t on the menu in some fashion.

Along with the great eats are even better drinks.

Their cocktail menu is extensive and there is even a happy hour every day from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Their cocktails may seem a little pricey at first, but it's all part of the experience.

Plus with ingredients like espresso, strawberries, and even smoked salmon, you'll feel so fancy.

If you don’t like what they have on the menu, no problem.

Tell your server your favourite spirit and let the bartenders go to town. Their bar is filled with goodies and they can whip up something awesome and original.

Once you’ve thoroughly stuffed your face you can head downstairs and take in all the gorgeous art and new exhibitions.

Whether you want to take yourself on a solo date or spend the day with the people you love, this cafe has everything you need.
