Air Canada Just Came Up With A New Quarantine Idea For International Travellers
With multiple pandemic travel restrictions still in place, Air Canada is coming up with a new idea for international travellers.
The airline is now calling on replacing the 14-day mandatory quarantine with COVID-19 tests instead.
"We believe that a test-based strategy may be a safe alternative to the 14-day quarantine," read a tweet

Voluntary COVID-19 tests taken by Air Canada
Air Canada recently conducted a massive testing experiment at Toronto Pearson Airport.
The study involved the participation of thousands of international customers, who were tested for the disease upon their arrival.
The airline reported that over 99% of the cases proved to be negative.
However, it is important to note that only 15,000 were tested during this trial period. At peak times, over 100,000 can move through Pearson every day.
Last week, Air Canada purchased over 25,000 rapid test kits.
The results for the tests can be ready in just 15 minutes.
