It’s not very often we see snow in Georgia, so having an opportunity to play in the snow is hard to come by.

Well, you can escape to the lake this winter and have the snow day of your dreams at this sprawling holiday park in Buford, G.A.

Starting November 6, Margaritaville at Lake Lanier will be transformed into a winter wonderland complete with a giant snow tubing mountain, a Christmas light show, a carnival with rides, and even Santa’s workshop.

575 feet of snowy hills to tube down

License to Chill Snow Island is home to a massive 575-foot-long, 8-story-high snow tubing mountain that you can race down with your friends.

The Island is covered with real snow — not only for tubing — but also for snowball fights at Snowball Alley, building snowmen, or making snow angels.

The park has a holiday carnival where you can take a spin on the amusement rides, and the 21+ crowd can stop by the bar for one of the park’s signature warm concoctions.

The island is also home to Margaritaville’s Lakeside Lights Spectacular — a magical walk-through light show with festive Christmas music to get you in the holiday spirit.

Snow Island at Margaritaville at Lake Lanier is the ultimate destination for every winter activity you can imagine.
