Time to dust off that old resume. Alberta ski resorts are gearing up for the coming season by hiring for hundreds of positions. And many of these Alberta ski jobs can be yours without any experience.

A spokesperson at the marketing department of Sunshine Village at Banff confirmed to Narcity that close to 400 positions will become available in the coming months.

The resort will open for the ski season this November. According to CBC News, Kendra Scurfield, the communications director at Sunshine Village, said that they normally hire 800 people or so during the season.

This year they're downsizing to about half of that, which still amounts to a whopping 400 positions to pick from.

If you're in the job market but are also looking to make a getaway to the mountains, these jobs have got you covered.

Scurfield told CBC that they're looking for applicants who've either recently graduated from high school or those attending post-secondary institutions.

We checked out the current job listings at Sunshine Village. There are about 50 openings at the time of the writing but the number will increase as the season nears.

"We are looking for people who want to “wow” our guests, are team players & are looking for a once in a lifetime experience. You’ll fit in perfectly if you are energetic, positive and have a passion for our mountain environment," read the FAQ section of their job listings page.

Many of the jobs are in the hospitality sector, such as bartenders, food and service attendants, cooks, and sous chefs. Those require some experience.

Bartenders and servers will also need the Pro-Serve license to serve alcohol.

But there are also other positions that require no experience.

If you're a ski maestro, there are also a handful of jobs for instructors. You'll need relevant certification for that.

Perks of being a seasonal worker at Sunshine Village include a free pass at the resort, budget deals at other resorts, and "marvellous discounts on ski gear, food & drinks and transportation."

Best of all, you get to take part in that coveted ski life and make money while you're at it.

Make sure you're available on the weekends and the holidays as those are the busiest days in the resort, as mentioned in most of the job postings.

You're advised to apply to one job and if you're considered, there'll be a two-week period before you hear back from their recruiting staff.
