Finding work can be difficult, and getting a career with a decent salary can be even harder. However, Canada Post has Ontario jobs for anyone searching out a new occupation. Some of them even pay over $20 an hour.

Taking a look through the Ontario job postings on the Canada Post website, you can see that the Crown corporation is looking to hire across the province in a number of available positions.

However, if you're in the market for something that pays a pretty decent hourly wage, you might want to consider applying to work as either a postal clerk or mail courier. Both jobs are available in multiple cities.

As a postal clerk, you'd be responsible for providing front-facing customer service and help with mail processing.

The position is available in multiple cities, including Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Bracebridge, and Brantford.

The job is just a temporary one to help out with the holiday season, but with an hourly wage of $21.19 (and no previous experience required), it's a solid way to make some extra money.

For something that gets you out of the post office and out onto the streets, there are also openings for mail service couriers in several different municipalities.

People working in this role get the chance to drive a mail truck, meaning you'll need either a Class D or G licence with an Air Brake Endorsement (and some experience driving a truck would definitely help as well).

This job also pays $21.19 an hour and, like the postal clerk position, is temporary for the holiday season.

However, Canada Post notes in its postings for couriers that there are opportunities to move into more permanent roles within the organization.

On top of these two options, there is also a need for more letter carriers in various cities across the province.

The job pays $19.86-21.19 to walk through neighbourhoods in places like Hamilton, Thunder Bay, Orillia, and Fort Frances.*
