Cineplex is offering VIP tickets at regular prices this month at VIP theatres across Canada.
If you want to save a bit of money while watching movies in May, here's how you can get the deal.
It was just announced that Cineplex Canada is discounting ticket prices on Wednesdays at VIP Cinemas this month.
That means you can get the VIP experience without paying the higher VIP ticket price.
On VIP Wednesdays in May, you only pay the adult general admission ticket price when you purchase a ticket to a movie in a VIP theatre.
The ticket must be for a movie with a Wednesday showtime.
You have to buy tickets at the VIP theatre to get the cheapest price.
If you buy tickets online, you'll have to pay an online booking fee of up to $1.50, plus tax.
According to Cineplex, the fee allows you to reserve your seats in advance and get shareable digital tickets.
It's charged to the first four tickets purchased in a single transaction.
The online booking fee is waived for CineClub members (who pay a $9.99 monthly subscription), $1 plus tax for Scene+ members, and $1.50 plus tax for all other moviegoers.
General admission ticket prices vary from theatre to theatre in Canada.
Some general admission tickets can be as low as $10 without Cineplex's online booking fee.
Depending on the movie and theatre location, VIP tickets can range from $14 to more than $22.
So, you could save a bit of money with VIP Wednesdays!
To get this deal, you must be 19 years of age or older (or 18 years of age or older in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec) and show valid photo ID at the theatre.
That's because VIP Cinemas are "adult-only" theatres where you can order food and alcohol while watching a movie.
Also, the seats are more spacious than regular theatres, and you get personal in-seat service with an exclusive VIP menu.
You can order classic concessions like popcorn and special food and beverages, including signature cocktails and specialty food items.
