It seems that some people aren't waiting their turn to get a COVID-19 vaccine in Ontario.

The Ontario government told Narcity on Tuesday that they have already received reports of alleged "queue jumping" at vaccination clinics.

According to the Ministry of Health, the majority of COVID-19 vaccines are being administered to those who qualify.

Currently, adults over 80, health care workers and Indigenous adults are some of the few who are currently eligible.

Despite this, the government has still received some reports of residents gaining access to the vaccines early.

"We have only received a handful of reports of alleged queue jumping in the province," Lindsay Davidson for the Ministry of Health told Narcity.

"Any situations that do not follow provincial guidelines to vaccinate those who are most in need are unacceptable."

The statement comes in the same week that Hamilton Public Health announced that it was looking into a similar issue.

The City received reports of approximately 15 COVID-19 vaccines that were "inappropriately" administered to residents who weren't eligible.
