When asked about the Alberta Teachers' Association call to reduce classroom sizes, Kenney said it'd be unrealistic to open "13,000 new classes," build "800 new schools," and train tons of new teachers.

"There is no world in which you could reduce class sizes in half and reopen the schools for the current school year," said the premier.

Kenney said in the press conference that he supports Dr. Deena Hinshaw's back-to-school plan and defended her decision to remove physical distancing in classrooms.
