An unlikely duo! Recently, Kanye West and Elon Musk hung out at the SpaceX CEO’s house and even posted a photo together on Twitter to document the big day. Though the picture is iconic, the two celebs aren’t what caught the internet’s attention.

On Wednesday, July 1, Ye took to social media to share a photo of him and Musk wearing unplanned coordinated outfits.

“When you go to your boys house and you’re both wearing orange,” he tweeted.

The photo received a lot of love from fans, but they couldn’t help but notice another reflection in the background.

If you zoom into the picture, you’ll see the reflection of Musk’s Canadian girlfriend, Grimes, holding up her phone, meaning that she’s most likely the photographer.

“Hi grimes,” one person replied to the tweet with a screenshot.

TV news anchor Scott Daniels also replied with another photo of the duo from a few years back. “Same pose,” he wrote.

Although their friendship may seem unlikely, it turns out that the rapper and engineer have been pals for some time now, and have regularly shared their affection for one another.

High Snobiety reports that back in 2015, Musk was the one to write a blurb about his friend when he was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2015.

“Kanye does think. Constantly. About everything. And he wants everybody else to do the same: to engage, question, push boundaries,” the 49-year-old wrote.

“Now that he’s a pop-culture juggernaut, he has the platform to achieve just that. He’s not afraid of being judged or ridiculed in the process.”

"Kanye’s been playing the long game all along, and we’re only just beginning to see why,” he added.

Ye has also spoken out about Musk in the past and even came to his defence when speaking at a Detroit art school back in 2018.

In more recent years, the Canadian engineer and his girlfriend were spotted in a photo from the West family’s annual holiday party.

It’s unclear exactly why the designer and Musk were hanging out, but fans are hoping that a collaboration between the two could be in the works.
