One driver didn't end up fooling the police with their fake Ontario licence plate

Guelph Police Service revealed via Twitter on Monday that a driver had attempted to use a piece of laminated paper as opposed to an actual plate.

Police reportedly discovered the vehicle parked in front of a store on Woodlawn Road West.

The driver allegedly bolted the poorly made plate onto the back of their car.

The photo appears to show that even the "Ontario" on the top of the paper was hand-drawn.

"How did a motorist expect to fool anybody with these fake licence plates?" wrote the police.

This isn't the first time someone has taken an artistic turn with their licence plate.

Earlier this month, an Ontario driver tried to outsmart the police by creating a fake plate out of a diaper box
