This California Gym Has 'Gainz Pods' That Let You Workout In Your Own Clear Cube (PHOTOS)

A glimpse at this gym's new norm.

As some gyms prepare for future reopenings, there's one that's taking gains to another level. Inspire South Bay in California has created "gainz pods" that let you workout while practicing social distancing. The transparent pods are one of many protocols the fitness center is putting in place.

Currently, California is in stage two of its Resilience Roadmap; however, some counties have been given the green light to move into phase three

Stage three would allow higher-risk workplaces to reopen, including gyms, movie theatres, and more.

Before fitness centers and other businesses open their doors, safety measures that are "designed to protect public health and safety" will be required.

Inspire South Bay Fitness in Redondo Beach, and other gyms are preparing to open doors in many ways, including "bubbles" that let you workout in your own space.

If you're wondering what measures will be put in place, this gym will give you a glimpse of what the new norm could look like.

The owner, Peet Sapsin, said in an Instagram post, "we are prepared to increase the safety for all of our members against COVID-19."

One way that they are preparing for gymgoers is in the form of gains pods.

According to KTLA5, the inventive structures are made out of rods and shower curtains. This option was a low-cost solution compared to plexiglass dividers.

These gains stations will allow you to maintain a six-foot distance from others while you work out.

Besides the clear pods, the state released COVID-19 Industry Guidance protocols for the fitness industry on how to sanitize and practice social distancing.

*At this particular gym, you can expect there to be a reduced capacity to only nine people at a time, and individuals and employees can wear face coverings.

You can experience the pods for yourself Monday - Friday, from 6 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. and in the evening from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.

They are closed on Saturday, but have reduced hours on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
