Attention, would-be travellers! Canada's Quarantine Act order for people entering the country has been extended until the end of August. Until at least that time, anyone coming into the country must still isolate for 14 days whether or not they are showing symptoms.

The Quarantine Act order has been in place since late March and was set to run out this week, per CTV News.

August 31

The Quarantine Act's extended expiration date

However, it has now been stretched for another two months amid continued concerns about the spread of COVID-19.

Regardless of whether a person travels by plane, boat, car, train, bus, or another form of travel, they must now isolate for two weeks as soon as they arrive.

The update to the order also notes that travellers must wear non-medical masks while entering the country and/or travelling to where they will isolate.
