One Canadian Region Has Had Over 92,000 More COVID-19 Cases Than Another

That's a huge range! 😱
Managing Editor, Canada

When it comes to COVID-19 in Canada, some provinces are dealing with much bigger outbreaks than others.

While it’s perhaps unsurprising that different regions would report varying figures, the contrast between the worst-affected spot and the least-affected spot is pretty huge.

In fact, there’s more than 92,000 COVID-19 cases between the two!

92,297 Cases of COVID-19 in Quebec

According to data released by the Government of Canada, Quebec had a total of 92,297 cases as of October 17, 2020.

In comparison, nobody has tested positive at all for the illness in Nunavut.

Similarly, Yukon and the Northwest Territories are reporting just 20 total cases between them, while 63 people have tested positive in P.E.I.

This means Quebec has reported 92,214 more cases than the other four regions combined.

On the same day, government statistics confirmed that over 8.5 million people in Canada have now been tested for COVID-19.
