Autumn is all about colorful leaves, crisp air, and comfort food. You can experience all three this weekend at the North Carolina Apple Fest in Hendersonville. This free event will be held from Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7, and is the perfect way to kick off the season.

The 2020 event will look a little different than years past: the Street Fair and King Apple Parade will not be held at this year's event. However, there's still plenty of fun festivities that will be going on this weekend.

You can have a mountain weekend with your pals at this cozy autumn outing. Hendersonville is located 30 minutes from Asheville and 1 hour and 45 minutes from Charlotte, so take a quick road trip to the event.

This fall fest will be full of incredible bites that sweet tooths will love. You'll feel like you're in seventh heaven while you indulge in apple treats while enjoying the cool NC mountain breeze and spectacular fall views.

On Friday, September 4, you can pick your own apples at local orchards while you sip on apple cider slushies and chow down on cider donuts. You can also get a throwback Apple Fest T-shirt for major vintage vibes.

You can stop by the Hendersonville Farmer's Market on Saturday for fresh baked goods and live entertainment. You can even get a free pancake breakfast-to-go at the market.

There will be a special "apple breakfast" on Sunday that you need to get in on! Pile your plate high with syrupy pancakes, bacon and eggs, a buttery biscuit, and yummy apples for just $7.

On Monday, don't miss the Bandit Flight Team Flyover soaring in formation over downtown Hendersonville. This incredible "sky parade" will wrap up Labor Day Weekend on a high note.

Hit the NC Apple Fest with your besties this holiday weekend for endless fall food and fun. Pick out your coziest sweater and get ready to say hello to autumn.
