In a new video shared online, Jagmeet Singh called on the prime minister to do more as COVID-19 cases continue to climb in some parts of the country.

Addressing the record-breaking number of new cases in Ontario and the COVID-19 virus variants that are “spreading rapidly,” Singh said, “Canada is on fire.”

“Leadership means finding solutions. Leadership means acting now,” Singh told Trudeau.

“Will the prime minister immediately improve access to the paid sick leave program?” he asked, also urging the PM to do more to ensure all Canadians are vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible.

It’s not the first time Singh has questioned Trudeau’s leadership during the pandemic. Last week, he sent the prime minister a letter calling on him to do better. He also recently described feeling “appalled” by the Liberal leader’s decision to vote against pharmacare in Canada.
