Doug Ford says his government will waste no time in considering additional restrictions in Ontario's hardest-hit regions.

Ford said that York, Peel, and Toronto make up 60 percent of Ontario's COVID-19 cases and that he'll be focusing on those areas when it comes to considering extra measures beyond the current shutdown.

"We're going to have further restrictions moving forward very, very quickly," Ford said at a press conference on Tuesday.

"When you have an inferno going on somewhere, you have to turn the hoses there. You have to continue doing the whole province but we're really focusing on the hot areas," he continued.

Ford said his government will meet on Wednesday, April 7, to discuss the possibility of a stay-at-home order, which was specifically requested by the Medical Officers of Health in Toronto, Peel, and Ottawa on Sunday.
