This Cozy Campground In Arizona Will Turn Into A Golden Dream This Fall

A million-dollar view!😍🍂
Contributor

You won't believe that this spot is in the desert. Lockett Meadow Campground in Flagstaff will turn into a golden wonderland this fall, and it'll be truly magical. Grab your favorite flannel, hiking boots, and prepare for an enchanting getaway.

Just a three-hour drive from Phoenix, you'll find this scenic area tucked away in Coconino National Forest.

According to the website, you'll get an incredible sight of the San Francisco peaks. It's a million-dollar view without the million-dollar price tag!

If you're craving an actual camping experience, this is the spot for you. It's entirely primitive, and no drinking water is available, so be sure to pack all of the essentials.

In the fall, the aspen trees surrounding the meadow become a brilliant yellow making the entire area look like an autumn paradise.

You don't need a reservation either. Campsites for up to eight people are $18 a night and are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

During the off-season (dates after the open season Spring - October 14), camping is free.

By day, you can explore the Inner Basin Trail, which takes you through the golden aspens for an experience unlike any other.

It's about 3.9 miles one-way, so you can take your time exploring or turn back at any point on the path.

With so many trees around, it's a great spot to set up a hammock, hang out, and take in the vibrant fall colors.

Since this spot happens to be one of the more popular areas this season, an early morning or weekday visit can be less crowded.

If you haven't fallen for fall yet, this brilliant spot might make you head over heels for the cozy season.
