Our Final NFT You Can Bid On Will Make You Want To Party In Montreal ASAP

Narcity may receive a small commission if you purchase something we recommend in this article, which was created by the Commerce team. Items are in stock and prices are confirmed at the time of publishing, but they can change at any time.

If you missed the chance to bid on the first two NFTs we launched this summer, don't worry, because you can still walk away a winner.

Aurora Montrealis, the third and final piece from our Back To The City collection which highlights the vibrancy of Montreal, will be up for auction tonight.

All three of our NFTs pay tribute to the wonderful cities we can now start exploring again. If you love Montreal, this is one heck of a souvenir that will last forever.

It was designed by local artist David Baril who wanted to showcase Montreal coming back to life as people reconnect and celebrate the end of lockdown. He even used the audio of the Montreal Canadiens fans cheering in the Stanley Cup Final.

He has a knack for syncing visuals to music which really comes through here. It'll make you feel like you should be partying in Montreal with all your friend right now.

Baril calls himself a "multimedia wise-ass and animation enthusiast" who specializes in everything from character animation to stop-motion to special FX. He spent the last eight years creating flashy background visuals for music shows and Cirque du Soleil.

Our auction will go live on OpenSea at 8 p.m. EST (5 p.m. PST) where you have the chance to not only own the rights to the NFT but a Ledger Nano S and a lifetime subscription to Narcity, too. You'll even be featured in a Narcity article! There's so much to brag about at your next family function.

You have a week to make your bids because the auction closes July 21.

20% of proceeds of the sold NFT will be donated to the Jean Paul Riopelle Foundation, a local organization in Montreal that aims to increase awareness around the late artist's work and support other young Canadian artists.
