If you're a student, recent grad or young professional needing a place to call home in the Ottawa area, some great new options will soon be available to you.

Choo Communities built Envie Little Italy I back in 2016 and the family is growing with two new exciting residences in the city. Featuring all-inclusive furnished suites, both locations are modern and trendy — perfect whether you're in school or starting your career.

This September, living for students and young professionals alike will be taken to a whole new level with everything imaginable under one roof at two prime Ottawa locations: Little Italy and Rideau.

You've got options between single or shared suites of two to four bedrooms. Rent starts at $795 per month (based on a shared four-bedroom suite in Little Italy I), which includes hydro, heat, WiFi, and 24-hour maintenance. All of this to help you live hassle-free.

Always aiming to make things easier and more fun for its residents, Envie's goal with these vibrant new dwellings is to brighten your future and foster community spirit.

Two New Neighbourhoods

Envie's Little Italy expansion complements its existing residence in this bustling area. Envie I and II are adjacent at 101 and 105 Champagne Avenue South.

With pizza, pasta, and gelato at virtually every corner, plus vegan and ethnic cuisine, this lively neighbourhood is a foodie's dream. You'll also find a variety of activities at nearby Dow's Lake, from paddling in the summer to skating in the winter.

If you're looking to get to Carleton University from here, it's just a 20-minute walk, 15-minute bus ride or, as of 2022, less than a five-minute O-Train ride. University of Ottawa students can catch the O-Train to Bayview then the Light Rail Transit, to arrive there in under 15 minutes.

Downtown in the heart of the city, you'll find the second property, Envie Rideau, at 256 Rideau.

It's conveniently situated right near uOttawa and ByWard Market, where tasty eats, live music, and entertainment await.

The Amenities

Both of Envie's new buildings provide tons of amenities, including high-speed WiFi, complimentary monthly housekeeping of the kitchen and living room, and a 24-hour reception that can accept packages on your behalf; that's right, no need to worry about being home to receive deliveries.

Study nooks and conference rooms come equipped with whiteboards and projectors to practice presentations at home without having to trek back to school.

Impressive city views make these residences total gems. For instance, both of Envie's central Little Italy locations boast views of Dow's Lake, Parliament Hill, Rideau Canal, and the downtown core, all of which you can admire from the shared penthouse lounge.

These inviting new communities also offer a cozy fireplace, pool table, ping pong table, four TVs for movie and game nights, along with a hosting space for dinner parties.

The Perks

Despite everything going on in the world right now, Envie's on a mission to keep things interesting and encourage a sense of togetherness.

By thinking outside the box and considering their residents' well-being, Envie has community insiders who are dedicated to ensuring you have everything necessary to make your living experience the best it can be.

You can look forward to perks such as discount cards to local businesses and even a new pizza joint at Little Italy II.

Plus, always quick to adapt and accommodate, Envie is putting its own virtual twists on in-person activities, like with takeaway art kits, Netflix treats, snacks for study weeks, and Facebook contests.

Depending on current protocols, shared spaces like the study rooms, penthouse lounges, gyms, and biweekly grocery buses will only be operational if it's safe to do so.

Then, when the time is right and in-person activities resume, you can enjoy yoga classes, pool tournaments, bingo nights, craft beer and cider tastings, and much more.

The Contest

To celebrate this expansion and give back to its residents, Envie is running a contest where one lucky student will get their lease free for a year.

Those who sign a September 2021 lease or take a virtual tour can enter to win the prize valued at up to $21,000 (depending on the suite size you've leased) until March 31. You can book a tour via Facetime, WhatsApp or Zoom.
