10-Year-Old Girl Dies After Being Hit By A Car While Riding Her Bike In Vaughan

A 10-year-old girl has died after she was hit by a car while riding her bike in Vaughan on Wednesday.

According to York Regional Police, officers attended a collision on Pleasant Ridge Avenue between Basie Gate and Coltrane Drive at around 10:45 a.m.

The 33-year-old driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and the child was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

On Friday morning, police revealed the 10-year-old girl died in hospital on Thursday night.

"Our thoughts are with her family and friends. We continue to urge any witnesses to the collision to please come forward," police said.

According to the police, the investigation is ongoing.
