Another violent incident has taken place on a Toronto beach. Toronto Police announced on Twitter on Thursday morning, August 13, that a double Woodbine Beach shooting happened in the early hours of the day.

Two people were shot and injured and turned up at an emergency room at around 3:30 a.m. with bullet wounds.

The suspect is still at large and the investigation is ongoing.

The injuries suffered were not life-threatening and, according to police, the victims were able to walk themselves to hospital.

This comes just one month after an incident at the same beach where a man was spotted stumbling and eventually collapsing, dressed in a hospital gown.

It's also one of numerous shootings that have taken place in Toronto and the GTA in recent weeks. In fact, police said on Thursday that another shooting this week, at Windermere Drive and Lake Shore Boulevard, also resulted in the victim walking to hospital.
