New cases of COVID-19 in Ontario on July 21

This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases province-wide to 37,942. However, 33,605 of these are resolved.

According to Ontario's Minister of Health, Christine Elliott, the increase comes from localized cases in Windsor, Peel and Ottawa.

Fifty-seven percent of the new COVID-19 cases have been reported in people 39 years old and younger.

"While one day of data, today’s increase is concerning. Ontarians of all ages need to continue to adhere to public health guidelines," wrote Elliott.

The news comes a week after most of the province entered stage three of Ontario's plan to reopen the economy.
