The University of Toronto was just named the top school in Canada for dozens of subjects, including arts, technology and social sciences.

According to Quacquarelli Symonds, a London-based analytics firm, U of T ranked first in Canada for 30 out of the 48 subjects it was evaluated on.

The school was also placed in the top 50 globally in 46 categories, which is more than any other university in the world.

Subjects like history, computer science, medicine and communication & media studies were some topics where U of T came out on top.

“This latest international subject ranking reflects the University of Toronto’s strength across a wide array of disciplines,” Meric Gertler, president of U of T, said.

"It is also a testament to our unyielding commitment to research, innovation and academic excellence," he added.

However, U of T is no stranger to accolades.

Back in December, the World University Rankings ranked the school the best in Canada for producing the most employable graduates.
