University Of Toronto Beats Cornell & Duke On World's Best Universities Ranking

In a ranking of the world's best universities in 2021, the University of Toronto has secured itself a leading spot.

U of T landed in 17th place on the U.S. News Best Global Universities list, ahead of Cornell University — an Ivy League school — which came in 22nd place.

U of T has moved up a few spots on the list this year, ranking higher than Duke University, as well as renowned schools in the U.K., Australia, Switzerland, and more.

Two other Canadian universities made the top of this global ranking as well — the University of British Columbia in 31st, and Montreal’s McGill University tied for 51st place with two other schools.

According to U.S. News, the University of Toronto is also a global leader in several subjects including Oncology, Surgery, and Clinical Medicine.
