Over 30K Ontarians Are Demanding Ford Reopen Salons, Restaurants & More

"The Ford Government has made it clear that Ontario Small Businesses are not a priority."

Thousands of Ontarians are now demanding that Ford change the rules for Ontario's shutdown

An online petition, which has collected over 33,000 signatures as of Tuesday morning, is now calling on the provincial government to reopen small businesses.

The appeal argues that Doug Ford has targeted restaurants, salons, and gyms, by shutting them down while allowing big box stores to remain open.

"The Ford Government has made it clear that Ontario Small Businesses are not a priority," stated the petition. "With packed malls, in-person schooling, and big box stores running with minimal regulations we cannot be asked to martyr ourselves in the name of lowering transmission."

The province's shutdown restrictions currently allow non-essential retailers to stay open. However, personal services, dining and fitness remain closed.
