Canada's population is less than the ballots cast for each candidate in the U.S. election so far.

Based on numbers reported by CNN just after 10:30 p.m. ET on November 3, both Donald Trump and Joe Biden had passed a vote threshold that's more than Canada's population.

So, more people have voted for each candidate than there are people in this country.

38,000,000 Canada's population

According to Statistics Canada, our population reached 38 million somewhere between April and July of this year.

Both Trump and Biden blew past that number way before midnight with each candidate surpassing 50 million votes by 11:30 p.m.

Every so often those numbers get bigger and bigger which far surpasses Canada's population.

It's no surprise that they would each get more than that many votes considering that the U.S. has a population of over 330 million.
