Ryan Reynolds is coming home to Vancouver.

On Thursday, the BC-born actor revealed that Wrexham AFC, a Welsh soccer team he co-owns with Rob McElhenney, will play against the Vancouver Whitecaps this summer.

Reynolds shared the news about the Wrex Coast Tour in a video on social media.

"You can watch Wrexham AFC play games up and down the west coast of the U.S. and Canada. Canada!" he said in the clip with a Canadian flag in the background.

Wrexham AFC will play against the Vancouver Whitecaps on July 27 at BC Place.

"Last year Rob got to bring Wrexham to Philly. This year it's my turn," Reynolds said in a statement as per Sportsnet. "I am so excited my hometown club the Whitecaps will get to square off against the Red Dragons."

"My official stance on the match will be a very friendly 'neutral' even if I will be screaming for a Paul Mullin hat trick."

The last time Reynolds was in Vancouver was in November 2023 when he was inducted into the Order of B.C.

"Receiving the Order of British Columbia is the honour of a lifetime. I could have been born anywhere but I had the dumb and incredible luck to be made in Vancouver," he wrote about the honour in a social media post.

During an interview with the Vancouver Sun, the Deadpool actor event hinted that he and his wife Blake Lively love Vancouver and they've even been looking for a place in B.C. for years.

Aside from Vancouver, the Wrex Coast Tour is also taking Reynolds and the team to Santa Barbara and Santa Clara in California.

Tickets for the Wrexham AFC and Vancouver Whitecaps game go on sale to the general public on April 25 at 12 p.m. PT.
