If you're planning a staycation or a trip to Canada's West Coast, you may want to add a Vancouver hotel to your travel plans.

Tripadvisor revealed its Travellers' Choice Awards Best of the Best Hotels in Canada for 2024 and a hotel in Vancouver took the top spot.

The awards celebrate the highest level of excellence in travel and are awarded to those hotels that receive a "high volume of above-and-beyond reviews" and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over 12 months.

Wedgewood Hotel & Spa in Vancouver was the best of the best according to the list with over 3,000 reviews.

Tripadvisor describes the 5-star hotel as an "eco-friendly property" in downtown Vancouver that showcases "warm elegance and old-world charm."

Wedgewood Hotel & Spa is in a prime location (Hornby Street) with nearby beach access, it offers bicycle tours and has a fitness centre.

The luxurious hotel rooms have giant soaker tubs, king-sized beds and stunning views of downtown Vancouver.

Based on the reviews, it looks like travellers love the hotel's sauna, spa and restaurant so those are definitely worth checking out on your next visit!

The Bacchus Restaurant & Lounge, located inside the hotel, offers a European-inspired menu, afternoon tea and cocktails.

Wedgewood Hotel & Spa wasn't the only Vancouver hotel to make the top 25 Tripadvisor list.

Other hotels in the city to receive recognition include the EXchange Hotel, Paradox Hotel Vancouver, and OPUS Vancouver.

Several other hotels in B.C. also received awards, including Abigail's Hotel, The Magnolia Hotel and Spa and Long Beach Lodge Resort, all three of which are on Vancouver Island.
