A trip down memory lane! As of late, Vanessa Morgan and Michael Kopech's relationship has been a hot topic. The two were married earlier this year, although Kopech recently filed for divorce.

In a 2018 interview with the Chicago Tribune, the MLB star opened up about how he and Morgan first met.

“She found me on Instagram, and then she followed me on Twitter. When a verified account follows you, you get a notification. So I got one and instantly followed her back and messaged her a few days later.”

"This shows how our generation works," he added.

The Chicago Tribune reports that on July 4 of the same year, the duo made their relationship social media official after Morgan posted a video of them watching fireworks together.

Not long after that, Kopech became a regular staple on Morgan's feed, and he even visited her in Vancouver while she was filming Riverdale.

"She has more of an understanding of the schedule. She lives a very busy life, films pretty much day in and day out for 10 months of the year, just like we’re here for most of the year. We’re both very supportive," the 24-year-old told the Chicago Tribune.

In August of 2018, Morgan gave her man a special shoutout, congratulating him on becoming the pitcher for the Chicago White Sox.

Just a month later, she referred to him as her "twin flame" in a sweet video posted to her Instagram.

The couple has done plenty of travelling together when their schedules permit, including trips to Texas and Costa Rica.

Just a year after they went public with their romance, Kopech popped the question to his Canadian partner at the beautiful Mooney Falls in Arizona.

The couple took stunning engagement photos together in Whistler, British Columbia, and were married in Florida earlier this year.

Recently, Morgan shocked followers when she announced that she's expecting a baby boy in January. She also posted photos of the big news without her husband.

Just days after, it was revealed that the MLB player filed for divorce from the Riverdale star on June 19, although PEOPLE confirms that he is the baby's father.

The pair has yet to comment on the current state of their relationship, but it will be interesting to see how they go forward with parenting their new arrival.
