According to the recall notice, a manufacturing issue is believed to be the cause of the problem, which has resulted in some thin, flexible metal wire fragments, about 25 millimetres long, making it into the products.

No injuries have been reported yet but Health Canada is warning consumers that if ingested the wires could damage the digestive system and to stop using these products.

Various bottle sizes were included in this recall with the expiration dates on them being 02/2022, 04/2022, 05/2022, or 11/2022 depending on which kind of vitamin it is.
