The wires are reportedly visible and 25 millimetres long.
Health Canada has issued a vitamin recall across Canada after metal wire fragments were found in some products.
The recall, which was triggered by consumer complaints, includes three kinds of vitamins. They are L'il Critters Gummy Vites for kids, vitafusion Fibre Well, and vitafusion MultiVites vitamins for adults.
According to the recall notice, a manufacturing issue is believed to be the cause of the problem, which has resulted in some thin, flexible metal wire fragments, about 25 millimetres long, making it into the products.
No injuries have been reported yet but Health Canada is warning consumers that if ingested the wires could damage the digestive system and to stop using these products.
Various bottle sizes were included in this recall with the expiration dates on them being 02/2022, 04/2022, 05/2022, or 11/2022 depending on which kind of vitamin it is.
