Netflix's new hit show Avatar: The Last Airbender has been renewed for additional seasons and that means the cast will be heading back to Canada soon.
The show, which has become a global hit since it premiered in late February, was filmed in several municipalities around British Columbia.
From the lush forests to the stunning mountain backdrops, Canada's West Coast had a lot to offer for the production of Avatar: The Last Airbender and luckily there are several locations seen in the show that you can go visit yourself.
With eight episodes in the first season, Avatar: The Last Airbender is a live-action reimagining of the Nickelodeon animated series.
In the show, a "young boy known as the Avatar must master the four elemental powers to save the world, and fight against an enemy bent on stopping him," according to the IMDb description.

Following its major success, the show was added to Netflix In Your Neighbourhood, which highlights filming locations in Canada.
"The diverse outdoor oasis of British Columbia set a beautiful backdrop for Avatar: The Last Airbender’s four elemental nations: the Air Nomads, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Water Tribes," the website says.

Will there be a Season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender?
Yes, the show will be back for more seasons.
On March 6, Netflix announced Avatar: The Last Airbender was renewed for Seasons 2 and 3.
The Netflix show has been a huge success since its premiere on February 22.
According to the streamer, the series has reigned as the number-one English TV show with 41.1 million views in the first 11 days.
The series was also number one in 76 countries and the top 10 in 92 countries.
Burnaby
Burnaby has over 200 kilometres of paths and trails, offering both lush and rugged landscapes.
It's also an area where the Netflix show was filmed.

Maple Ridge

Maple Ridge is another municipality that was featured in the show.
The charming community not only offers natural beauty, but it also has the stunning backdrop of the Coast Mountain Range, according to Netflix In Your Neighbourhood. Additionally, the downtown area provides that small-town charm.
The local high rope and zipline park, WildPlay Maple Ridge, was heavily featured in Episode 3 of the show as Jet's forest hideaway on the outskirts of Omashu.

Langley

Netflix says Langley has become a popular destination for film production thanks to its "diverse landscapes and versatile locations."
Avatar: The Last Airbender was filmed at two outdoor studios in Langley: Jamestown and The Farm on 264th.
Surrey
The city of Surrey offers a mix of suburban and urban settings with modern amenities and an extensive park system.
"Local fans may recognize the popular paintball park, Panther Paintball, and the sprawling 18-acre A Rocha property; an environmental stewardship organization that promotes conservation, environmental education and sustainable agriculture," the Netflix In Your Neighbourhood description says.
Avatar: The Last Airbender stars Vancouver-born actor Gordon Cormier as Aang, Ontario-born actress Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Korean-Canadian actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh and Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai.
All eight episodes of Season 1 are available on Netflix.
