This quaint small town in Ontario is surrounded by white sand and warm sapphire water

It's a magical spot to spend a summer day.

Lead Writer, Travel

There's nothing like spending a day at a charming beach town and Ontario is brimming with enchanting waterside villages to visit before the end of summer.

With sandy shores, glistening waters and cute streets, you can enjoy the warm weather to the fullest at destinations around the province.

This hidden gem beach town is an especially charming spot for a summer getaway. Located three hours from Toronto, the tiny village is surrounded by warm, turquoise water and gorgeous views.

The peninsula town is home to scenic trails, local shops, ice cream parlours and sandy beaches, making it an idyllic spot for a summer escape.

The small village of Erieau is located on the shores of Lake Erie and Rondeau Bay. You can spend an afternoon on Erieau Beach, which features "some of the warmest waters on Lake Erie as well as some of the region’s best fishing," according to Ontario's Southwest.

You can also stroll along the scenic pier and grab a cone from the nearby ice cream parlour to cool off.

During the summer months, you can explore the Erieau Boulevard Trail, grab a drink at Bayside Brewing Co., check out Rondeau Provincial Park and head to McGeachy Pond Conservation Area for some stunning lake views.

Don't forget you swimsuit!
