Calgary's Getting A Retro Burgers & Floats Food Truck Festival This Weekend

Good, clean, old-fashioned fun. 🍔

When you think of the '50s, you might think of old-school diners, drive-in movies and all things classic Americana. In Alberta, there's a place bringing you all the nostalgic eats from the era straight to your mouth. This is one Calgary food festival you can't miss if you love burgers and wish you were born in the 1950s.

While Stampede might be cancelled this summer, we've still got the chance to eat to our heart's content.

Cravings Market Restaurant is doing a pop-up from Saturday, June 13 to Sunday, June 14 and you'll get a taste of the festival experience.

The retro event is taking it back to the '60s and has a menu full of burgers, floats, and tasty sides that will make you feel like you're in the soda shop in Grease.

Whether you opt for the drive-thru experience or you want to eat at the restaurant, it's going to be a good time.

Inside the restaurant, it will be a full-service experience but space is limited and they're capped at that 50% capacity.

On the menu for the event will be three different burgers, sides, and floats to choose from.

For burgers, you can opt for the classic "Big Bang Burger" for $13. It's a house-made beef patty smothered in their signature burger sauce served with slaw. Or, you can try their crispy chicken burger or even a vegan black bean burger.

Their $5 sides will include tater tots, onion rings and mac and cheese which are basically all of our favourite comfort foods.

When's the last time you had a good old-fashioned float? You'll be able to try root beer, cherry cola, or creamsicle for $8 each.

Whether you're staying in your car or taking your BFF to the restaurant to mow down on burgers, tots, and floats — this is the best way to spend a weekend in Calgary right as summer is about to start.
