Alberta has a new street that is a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of colours. The stunning 200-foot interactive art installation is part of Deerfoot City's Block Party that is happening right now. Best of all, it's completely free to check out.

The event is happening northeast of Calgary, at a 1.1 million square foot outdoor shopping centre until Saturday, September 26, 2020.

According to Deerfoot City, the "Block Party provides a vibrant, accessible, and safe community space where Calgarians can engage with outdoor public art and one another while social distancing."

For the summer celebration, you'll be able to explore murals created by four artists for free.

But it isn't like your regular gallery visit. Instead, you can go ahead and walk all over someone's masterpiece without feeling guilty.

On the street hand-painted by Rhys Farrell, you'll find classic games that will make you feel like a kid again. For example, you can challenge your friends to snakes and ladders, four corners, and hop-scotch.

The colourful and graphic mural makes for an unmissable photo opportunity you'll want to see first-hand.

There will be over 200 feet of pathways lined with picnic tables, umbrellas and street art to check out.

Plus, there will be lawn games, and The Rec Room and iFly bringing the fun.

For all you who need to update your fall wardrobe, you can do that too. Head to The Boulevard to shop at your favourite stores under the sunshine.

Then, once you are feeling hungry, make sure to head to the Food Lodge. There you'll find multiple food vendors selling mouthwatering bites.

When heading to the Block Party, you'll want to plan on spending a few hours as there is so much to see and do.

Don't have plans for this Saturday afternoon? You should check this spot out with your BFF.
