Canada's Best Universities In 2021 Are Spread Out All Over The Country

They're not just in Ontario and B.C.!👇🇨🇦

Managing Editor, Canada

If you're dreaming of attending one of Canada's best universities in 2021, you won't necessarily have to move to Ontario or B.C.!

Last year, Maclean's ranking of the best schools in the country ahead of 2021 found that there are world-class universities all over Canada, including in Alberta, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador.

The list of the top 49 schools was created by considering each university's reputational ranking based on surveys by university faculty and senior administrators as well as business people across the country.

While it was the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia and the University of Waterloo that had the best scores overall, there were plenty of schools outside of Ontario and B.C. that were also highly rated.

This includes Montreal's McGill University in fourth place overall, the University of Alberta in sixth and Université de Montréal in ninth.

Also in the top 25 nationally were the University of Calgary, Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, the University of Saskatchewan and the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Pretty impressive, eh?
