This sparkly Ontario Christmas village has cobblestone streets and cozy shops wrapped in bows

It's a holiday wonderland.

Lead Writer, Travel

Cue The Holiday soundtrack! This enchanting Christmas village in Ontario will have you feeling like you've stepped into your own festive romance.

Blue Mountain Village, located about two hours from Toronto, is a dreamy destination nestled at the base of a mountain.

The Village has transformed into a dazzling Christmas wonderland for the annual Holiday Magic at Blue event.

Running from November 16, 2024 to January 5, 2025, the festive experience features a glowing trail of lights, photo ops, live entertainment, drool-worthy feasts and more.

According to the website, you can wander past "storefronts wrapped in garlands and bows" and take in the twinkly views along the cobblestone streets that look straight out of The Holiday.

The 1 kilometre Holiday Light Trail starts at dusk each evening and features "millions of sparkling lights and grand displays illuminate [the] picturesque pedestrian Village." You can discover interactive installations such as the Dream Tree or Topsicles that dance with magic.

You'll want to do some holiday shopping while in the area. You can stroll along "charming streets lined with cozy boutiques and specialty shops, perfect for finding unique gifts, seasonal treats, and winter essentials."

On weekends, you can enjoy festive activities like letters to Santa, a holiday scavenger hunt and holiday DJ. You can also head to the Snowdome Cocktail Garden for boozy drinks and pop-ups.

The dreamy trail of lights is free to visit, and the Village is a magical spot for a day trip or holiday weekend away.
