You don't need to get on a plane in order to enjoy a magical winter vacation this year. This enchanting village in Ontario will whisk you away to Europe and is the top destination for a snowy weather getaway in Canada.

With cobblestone streets, snowy hills and twinkling shops, you'll feel as if you're wandering through Switzerland when visiting this destination.

Airbnb recently released its 2024 winter travel trends for Canadians in a press release, featuring everything from international getaways to local provincial escapes.

Blue Mountain, located 2 hours from Toronto, is the top trending domestic destination for Canadians this winter.

The area is home to Blue Mountain Village, a charming pedestrian village brimming with European vibes. The destination is popular year-round, but winter brings a new kind of magic to the scene.

You can ski or snowboard down soft snowy slopes, glide around a glistening mountaintop ice trail and unwind at the Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain.

During the holiday season, the area transforms into a Christmas wonderland with a dazzling trail of lights, garland-filled streets and endless cheer.

There are many cozy restaurants and cafes where you can warm up and enjoy a meal.

Two other Ontario destinations made it to the top 10 trending domestic destinations for Canadians this winter. Both Toronto and North Bay are go-to spots for some snowy weather magic.
