Cineplex has cheap tickets for some movies in June at theatres in Canada.

But you have to buy tickets a certain way if you want to save money with this deal.

Cineplex Canada is offering discounted prices on movie tickets as part of the Family Favourites program this month.

Theatres in Canada show movies on Saturdays that the whole family can enjoy, and tickets cost just $3.99 plus applicable taxes.

But you have to buy tickets a certain way if you want to get the deal.

With the Family Favourites, $3.99 is the in-theatre price.

Tickets for the Family Favourites movies are more expensive when you buy online.

It costs $4.99 for Scene+ members ($3.99 and a $1 online booking fee) and $5.49 for all other online purchases ($3.99 and a $1.50 online booking fee), plus taxes.

CineClub members can get the discounted $3.99 price even when buying tickets online because the booking fee is waived.

But a CineClub membership costs $9.99 a month.

According to Cineplex, the online booking fee lets you select your seats in advance and get shareable digital tickets.

It only applies to the first four tickets purchased in a single transaction.

Usually, the Family Favourites deal is on every Saturday of the month, but there are only two discount Saturdays in June.

These are the movies you can watch for $3.99 at Cineplex with the Family Favourites program:

  • Bad Guys — June 21
  • Dog Man — June 28

There are no Family Favourites movies on June 7 or June 14.

Cineplex's promo is available at participating locations in Canada.

So, you should check your local Cineplex to see if the theatre is offering the $3.99 movie ticket deal on Saturdays.

Showtimes for Family Favourites movies are typically in the morning.
