Finally some good news!
Senior Writer

Here's some good news! COVID-19 deaths in Canada didn't go up for one day and this is the first time that's happened since the middle of March.

As of 7:00 p.m. ET on September 11, Canada is reporting no new deaths related to COVID-19.

new COVID-19 deaths

The total number of deaths related to the virus across the country is still at 9,163 since there was no change from September 10 to September 11.

That's 6.8% of the total number of confirmed cases.

Canada's first reported fatality was on March 8 and then on March 11, there was a second one.

For the next couple of days after that, there were no new deaths reported.

March 15 was the last time the number didn't have a daily change until now.

With a rapid increase in deaths from April to June, data from the Government of Canada shows that the curve is flattening when it comes to fatalities.
