Local cafes are wonderful on their own. They always have amazing treats that seem to pair perfectly with their freshly made coffee. Lavender Ridge Farms in Gainesville has a cafe with a menu entirely inspired by their lavender farm. After visitors enjoy the cafe, they can actually walk around the lavender fields to pick out some fresh flowers to take home.
Currently, lavender, herbs, and irises are all in season and you can pick them while you're there. You'll be able to go through two acres of beautiful lavender to get the perfect Insta post. In the cafe, you'll be able to see all of those herbs in action, as the cafe uses their freshly grown produce in their recipes.
One of their popular menu items is a lavender honey chicken salad. The salad consists of chicken, fresh celery and roasted pecans mixed together in a creamy lavender honey sauce. If you have more of a sweet tooth, you'll have the choice to choose from lavender cheesecake, lavender lemon gooey butter cake, and a lavender brownie sundae.
The food at the cafe starts at around $3 but does work its way up depending on what you choose to get. While you're there, you can purchase things like lavender lip balm, bath bombs, bubble baths, and candles. They also sell the products in their store online so you can order them any time.
The stunning lavender farm and fields are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Friday through Sunday. The sweet cafe itself is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
