Instead of having to board them up or find a pet-sitter, being able to include your pup in the fun can make vacays that much better. There are a few dog-friendly beaches and trails in Georgia where you can bring your pupper with no problems and no extra fees.

Dog parks are all fun and games until Sparky gets tired of the same ol' routine. Taking a weekend to visit a coastal Georgia beach or finding a waterfall hike in the mountains will not only give you a scenic adventure but would also serve as a nice surprise for your pooch.

A few beaches on Jekyll Island, some on St. Simons Island, and an entire secluded island on the coast will let your dog sink their paws in the sand, as well as most nature preserves and trails throughout the state.
