If you're looking for something to add to your bucket list, the Maligne Canyon hike in Jasper takes you over deep gorges and to stunning baby blue water.

This canyon has been carved out of a rock formation that's about 365 million years old by flowing water, and there are six bridges along the way that each have a unique view.

There's a short hiking trail along the higher part of the canyon and a longer one that follows the gorge to bridges that are lower down.

You can take the easy route by heading over the first and second bridges where you'll stand more than 50 metres above the water and then venture to the third bridge where you'll spot a beautiful waterfall.

If you want a bit of a challenge, you can continue your hike to the fifth and sixth bridges!
