Some Ontario schools are now extending spring break to help prepare for the province's return to remote learning.

On Monday, Doug Ford announced that all schools will be forced to close to in-person learning as students shift online.

Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) has now announced that it will be supplying its teachers with "transition days" to ease the process.

Elementary students who were previously learning in person will get two extra days of break, and won't start remote learning until Wednesday, April 21.* Students who were already learning remotely and all high school students will return on Tuesday, April 20. 

On top of this, Sam Hammond, the president of The Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario, is calling on Ford to allow all schools across the province to extend their break for students by one extra day, so teachers have more time to prepare.
