You can now be texting buddies with a federal politician! Jagmeet Singh's phone number has been shared again so that you can keep him company on the campaign trail and give him recommendations for restaurants and things to do.

After a snap election was called, the NDP leader posted his digits on social media, saying he wants to "stay in touch" as he travels across the country to campaign for the vote on September 20.

"I also want to hear your tips, things I should check out," Singh said in the video.

He'll use the number to give Canadians updates on where he's headed across the country, hear about what matters to them and their families, and get their recommendations for the best vegetarian restaurants in the cities that he'll be visiting.

"We'll have an awesome time together," Singh said. You can hit him up at 613-801-8210.

Singh isn't the only politician who has shared their digits with the public recently. Ontario Premier Doug Ford has given out his phone number before and in 2020 he revealed that he was getting hundreds of messages every day from Ontarians.
