Justin Trudeau's Valentine's Day Message To His Wife Sophie Is A Bilingual Swoonfest

They've been married for over 15 years.
Staff Writer

People all over the country are waking up to sweet Valentine's Day messages from their partners, and Justin Trudeau's wife is no exception.

The prime minister posted a loving message for Sophie Grégoire Trudeau to mark the special occasion, and he flexed his French for some extra romance points.

"You're my rock, you're my partner, you're my best friend," Trudeau wrote.

"Happy Valentine's Day, mon amour."

Justin and Sophie have been married since May 2005 and have three children together: Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien.

They both knew each other as kids, according to Maclean's, when Sophie was in the same class as Justin Trudeau's brother Michel.

It took a lucky meet-cute a few years later to cement them as a couple, however.

The pair are clearly fans of romantic photos and social media posts, and both Trudeau and his wife often post about anniversaries and their relationship.

Back in September 2020, Sophie posted a throwback photo to commemorate the 17th anniversary of their first date together.
